A Brutalist Villa Fully Furnished by Baxter: When Raw Architecture Meets Italian Elegance
In the world of interior design, there are projects that go beyond simple furnishing—transforming bold architectural spaces into harmonious, habitable art. This is the spirit behind the furnishing of a striking brutalist villa, where the unmistakable signature of Baxter breathes new life into raw materials and clean lines.
A Challenge of Styles and Materials
The project started with a clear goal: combine the essential, powerful lines of brutalist architecture with the sophisticated warmth of Italian-made furniture. The villa, defined by concrete structures and graphic volumes, is transformed into a welcoming and refined home thanks to a careful design process led by the architects and interior designers from Mobilificio Marchese, in close collaboration with the client.
For us, each client is a new challenge to be faced with the method that has allowed us to furnish the most beautiful houses around the world: listening to the client's needs, studying the available space, designing tailor-made solutions. Salvatore and Martina accompanied the customer step by step, in choosing every single detail while Floriana took care of the whole part concerning the choice of colors and finishes, to create a harmonious palette.
The Team’s design approach was determined by the careful analysis of the space and the architectural composition of the building. In fact, we talk about an architecture that is based on simple but striking lines, on raw materials but, at the same time, refined and modeled for the needs of the customer.
The harmonious communication between interior and exterior was made through the selection of the color palette and the choice of iconic Baxter products. Baxter is synonymous with the highest quality. Each product is handmade by skilled craftsmen who create real works of art, with the best Italian leathers.
Cold tones, clean lines and modular furnishing accessories: these are the main features behind the project.
Having a large open space we chose Damasco sofas, an amazing solution for reading with an essential but attractive design, combined with the Charlotte armchair, extremely comfortable and elegant, for the relaxation area; Viktor sofas for a touch of vintage beauty selected together with Godard Wood armchairs.
The sofa's placement offers a perfect way to enjoy the space.
To complete the whole, the iconic Juno coffee table in concrete shaped to create vertical pleats that are recollection by the details present on some walls inside the space.
The continuity of the space is more guaranteed by the inclusion of the Libelle Bookcase, whose design is perfectly complementary to the furnishings. Its second function is to separate the two living areas.
For the dining room was chosen one of the most precious design pieces created by Baxter designers, the Lagos Table. Essential and rounded lines for the structure, an exclusive and selected marble that guarantees uniqueness and elegance for the top and three legs covered in antique brass. All followed by the comfortable seats Colette.
The choice of furnishings and their arrangement thus guarantees a functional division of the space highlighting those that are the main strengths of architecture.
The Art of Contrast
If brutalist architecture is synonymous with expressive restraint and material honesty, Baxter’s furnishings prove that essentiality can be both bold and warm, rigorously contemporary and deeply comfortable. The project is a testament to the power of collaboration between space, client, and design—where every detail tells a story of Italian craftsmanship and timeless elegance.
