A chair that starts from the bottom
Usually with a chair you look at the seat and the back. Stig reverses the order: the element that makes it unique and instantly recognisable is the base, which becomes sculpture. Roberto Lazzeroni designs a solid, thick sled in wengé-stained ash that, rising up, supports the seat and back, and takes its inspiration from the irony of the furniture designed by Jean Royère. The result is a small work of fine cabinetmaking, statuesque and a little playful.
The two leather-covered cushions rest with airy lightness on the structure and invite you to try the unusual comfort of a piece that behaves more like a sculpture than a chair. The leather is soft, or shearling, with a decorative profile in the same leather tone, and the metal details are chosen between a satin brass-toned and a hand-brushed burnished finish.

Where it finds its place
Around a dining table that wants a touch of irony, in a living room where an extra seat needs sculptural presence, or in a hospitality setting looking for a recognisable piece.
