A pedestal, a stone, an exercise in proportions

Kor is an exercise in proportions that defies gravity. Baxter designs it by playing on contrast: a slender polished antiqued steel base, which reflects light with a vibrant brilliance, and above it an important stone top, chosen for its unique veining and its tactile, solid presence. The resulting silhouette has a surprising visual lightness, as if the stone were resting on air.

The pairing of polished metal and the naturalness of stone turns Kor into a piece of great character: it doesn't just complete the space, it defines it. The top is chosen from 17 varieties, from marbles such as Travertino White or Calacatta Oro to the Honey, Tangerine, Brioche and Lichen onyxes, as well as Azul quartzite and Red Rhapsody granite, each treated with water-repellent protective oil.
