Agadir Chair Baxter

A chair that doesn't choose between indoors and out

Agadir was born to inhabit that ambiguous space that is no longer inside and not yet outside: the veranda, the covered patio, the winter garden. Paola Navone designs a seat for Baxter that carries the sculptural rigour of a furnishing piece into an environment shaped by filtered light and moving air, never feeling out of place in either world.

The cast-aluminium frame, available bronzed or polished, reflects light differently depending on the hour of the day, while the woven leather of the seat brings an artisanal touch that contrasts with the usual coolness of metal. A microfibre cushion with a water-repellent lining, fully removable, adds comfort without sacrificing the resilience a semi-outdoor setting demands.
